Junior Cycle

Junior Cycle

In Glenart College, we offer students a wide range of subjects through both optional long courses and short courses. From 1st to 3rd Year, students select three optional subjects and one short course, within a learning environment that is engaging, inclusive and collaborative.

Junior Cycle Assessment
Students complete Classroom-Based Assessments in 2nd and 3rd Year, along with an Assessment Task in 3rd Year worth 10% of the final grade. Students receive a Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA) outlining their progress over three years.

Students can choose from a wide range of subjects. Glenart College is proud to be one of only a small number of schools nationwide offering Coding as a Junior Cycle subject.

All First Year students take part in a 5-week Taster Programme, allowing them to experience each subject before making their final choices.
