All students in their 2nd and 3rd year of studies will complete Classroom Based Assessments in each of their subjects. Most subjects will have a CBA in 2nd year and in 3rd year. Short courses such as Coding, CSPE, SPHE, Philosophy and Digital Media Literacy will have one CBA over the three years.
Students are expected to prepare for their CBAs at home and to complete them during class time. This preparation can include researching topics, interviewing people, testing experiments, etc. Each student will receive information from their subject teachers that relates to the CBA process in that particular subject. As part of Glenart College Assessment Policy, students and parents are reminded that all students must engage with the CBA process and adhere to the deadlines agreed by the teacher.
In an effort to spread the CBAs throughout the year we have devised a timetable of when CBAs in each subject are to be completed.
